Welcome to 2015. Quite a start. Playing the Reverend Vickers in my wonderful friend Fredi 'Kruga' Nwaka's new powerful film 'AWOL' to flashing my knickers in The MailOnline for JD Williams's Valentine's Day shoot. Both assignments were daunting in differing ways. The vicar had to address a funeral congregation in a beautiful East End church. Three amazing chaps who form Rough Copy sang unaccompanied. Goose-bump stuff, many genuine tears were shed. This was Fredi at his best. That man is deservedly going onwards and upwards. I love him! @FrediKruga The JD Williams shoot was a huge gamble. I have never really approved of wrinklies flashing their flesh and not knowing exactly what was expected of us, I nearly chickened out until I was persuaded to give it a go by the ever-lovely Kathy Hill.
Alex B, on the left, was an old hand at this but Nicola G was a newbie like me. We were royally treated by PR company Z PR, MUA Mandy Winrow @mandymakeup007 (having legs made up ... definitely another first chalked up!) and totally put at ease by photographer Mark Nash. Since publication a few days ago I have had many positive comments from friends but was taken aback by the cruel and crude comments on the MailOnline page. How sad some people are that they feel the need to express their pathetic little opinions in what is really a cowardly way. Oh how tempting to reply, but no, must rise above it!
