I’m getting into this blog world now, making a determined effort to update it at least every two weeks. I also dabble on Twitter - @davisannabel – and happily pottered along with my few followers until a week ago when I started acquiring new FFs on a daily basis. I’m totally bemused but rather delighted by this, especially as most of them seem to have followers numbering in the thousands.
The past fortnight has seen me continue my tour of all London’s compass points. I had a successful casting in Holborn (direct approach via StarNow) which resulted in a fun shoot in the most enormous green screen studio in Wimbledon. Friday took me away from my comfort zone to a rain-sodden Crawley for a casting. I felt rather out of my depth but somehow managed to actually remember my lines as a vindictive nun in a children’s home. The caning scene was reminiscent of a certain headmistress in Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show ... Away from ‘work’ I did two early shifts in Terminal 3 as a Heathrow Volunteer complete with purple sash. Saw many old friends and was chuffed to see my photo, albeit tiny in the background, still displayed on posters throughout the airport. Today I had two castings with my old friend Jack. We started in Shoreditch then moved on to Tottenham Court Road. So good to see him. We bicker like an old married couple, just as well, as that is what we were supposed to be at the second audition! I do love my screen hubbies!
